The route follows the Vietnam–China border, then returns to Hanoi via Hoang Su Phi and Thac Ba Lake, crossing twisting mountain roads, off-road tracks, and ethnic minority villages rarely visited by mainstream tourism.

Day 1: 14.Dec.2026 | Hanoi to That Khe | 215 Km
Depart Hanoi and ride northeast through the limestone mountains of Lang Son Province, following quiet rural roads toward the remote border region of That Khe in Trang Dinh District. The first day introduces the rhythm of the Northeast Vietnam Border Loop, passing through Red River Delta farmland, local Tay and Nung villages, forested valleys, and karst hills before reaching That Khe, a small mountain town on the route between Lang Son and Cao Bang. The day 1 of women only off-road adventure lodges in That Khe, Lang Son Province.

Day 2: 15.Dec.206 | Ban Gioc | 120 Km
Ride deeper into Cao Bang Province on backcountry roads and off-road tracks through Tay and Nung ethnic minority villages, passing limestone valleys, rice terraces, and remote border communities rarely visited by mainstream travellers. The route follows the scenic mountain roads of Trung Khanh District before reaching Ban Gioc Waterfall, the spectacular, cascading waterfall on the Vietnam–China border and one of the most famous natural landmarks in northeast Vietnam.

Day 3: 16.Dec.2026 | Ba Be National Park | 150 Km
Leave the Vietnam–China border behind and ride southwest through the karst mountains of Cao Bang Province, following remote valley roads into Bac Kan Province. The route passes limestone cliffs, Tay villages, and forested mountain scenery before descending to Ba Be Lake National Park, home to Ba Be Lake, Vietnam’s largest natural freshwater lake and one of the highlights of the Northeast Vietnam Border Loop.
On arrival, we load the bikes in the boat and enjoy a boat ride through the Ba Be Lake following by a visit to a cave. Later check in and overnight at a Resort, or a local home-stay made on stilt.

Day 4: 17.Dec.2026 | Dong Van via Bao Lac | 220 Km
Our women only off-road adventure starts with the longest and most demanding day of the Northeast Vietnam Border Loop. Depart Ba Be Lake and ride west into the high mountains of Ha Giang, climbing through Bao Lac before ascending onto the Dong Van Karst Plateau UNESCO Global Geopark at elevations of over 1,000 metres. The route passes through remote Hmong and Dao villages, with the scenery changing from forested mountain valleys around Bao Lac to the dramatic limestone peaks and rocky plateaus of Dong Van.
Arrive in Dong Van, Ha Giang Province, and stay overnight in the heart of the Dong Van Karst Plateau

Day 5: 18.Dec.2026 | Ha Giang via Ma Pi Leng Pass | 170 Km
This day has to be the most iconic riding day on the Women only off-road around North Vietnam. Leave Dong Van and descend through Meo Vac via the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass, widely considered the most dramatic mountain road in northern Vietnam. The route follows more than 20 km of tight switchbacks carved high above the Nho Que River gorge, with spectacular views across the Dong Van Karst Plateau UNESCO Global Geopark.
Stop at the Ma Pi Leng viewpoint, take time to enjoy the panorama, and ride the pass twice if conditions allow. Continue south through the mountain valleys to Ha Giang Town for an overnight stay.

Day 6: 19.Dec.2026 | Hoang Su Phi | 130 Km
Enjoy a leisure breakfast in Ha Giang city before ride into the deep lush mountains of western Ha Giang. The road to Hoang Su Phi passing through some of the most spectacular terraced rice field landscapes in northern Vietnam, with narrow mountain roads, forested valleys, and traditional La Chi and Dao villages scattered across the hillsides. The rice terraces have been carved into these mountains over centuries, creating one of the most distinctive cultural landscapes in the Ha Giang region.

Day 7: Thac Ba Lake | 150 Km
Spend the morning exploring the mountain villages and weekly markets around Hoang Su Phi, where Dao, La Chi, and Nung tribes maintain traditional highland life in the mountains of northern Vietnam. After lunch, ride east through the rolling hills toward Yen Bai and the Red River Valley, following quiet rural roads through tea plantations, terraced hillsides, and small farming villages.
Here we roll on for some off-road through the hills and wet jungle trails before arrive at our home-stay in teh middle of rice fields.
Check in and short rest, later, board a boat across the lake to a traditional lakeside homestay for the final night of the female only off-road tour around North Vietnam.

Day 8: Hanoi | 180 Km
Check out and say goodbye to our local host at the home-stay. We then take an hour or so off-road around the acacia forests around the Vu Linh before rolling toward Hanoi. After lunch, we descend into red river delta and again, take an hour of off-road through the Banana forest near Hanoi. Arrive later around 5 pm and end of the 8 day women only motorcycle off-road in North Vietnam.
