Day 1: Hanoi – Vu Linh (180km / 110Miles)
We kick off the adventure early morning from Hanoi and start the ride along the Red River. The road feels smooth and perfect for riding. Our first stop is Thac Ba Lake, a stunning natural gem, before continuing on a rugged trail to Vu Linh village. Here, the Dzao people welcome us into their lakeside homestay, where we share dinner and stories. It’s the perfect start to our northern Vietnam journey.
Day 2: Vu Linh – Ha Giang (170km / 105Miles
We leave Vu Linh behind and ride deeper into the north, passing quiet villages, streams, and endless mountain views. The roads twist and turn, keeping the ride exciting and full of surprises. A highlight comes when we cross the monkey bridge—an adventure in itself. By evening, we reach Ha Giang and settle into a Hmong homestay, where warm hospitality and local culture welcome us for the night.
Day 3: Dong Van (170km /105Miles)
We ride out of Ha Giang and take on the winding Tham Ma Pass, where every turn opens up stunning mountain views. The road is pure riding joy, mixing challenge and beauty in equal measure.
By late afternoon, we reach Dong Van, a town rich in history and surrounded by rugged landscapes. Tonight, we rest in a local hotel and soak in the unique atmosphere of this ancient highland town.
Day 4: Meo Vac – Bao Lac (120km / 75Miles)
We ride out of Ha Giang and take on the winding Tham Ma Pass, where every turn opens up stunning mountain views. The road is pure riding joy, mixing challenge and beauty in equal measure. By late afternoon, we reach Dong Van, a town rich in history and surrounded by rugged landscapes. Tonight, we rest in a local hotel and soak in the unique atmosphere of this ancient highland town.
Day 5: Ban Gioc Waterfalls (200km /125Miles)
We ride from Bao Lac through winding mountain roads to reach the spectacular Ban Gioc Waterfall on the Vietnam–China border. The thundering cascade and lush scenery make this one of the most unforgettable sights of the trip.
Along the way, we stop at Nui Thung Mountain for sweeping views of the northern highlands. Tonight, we relax at Sai Gon Ban Gioc Resort, just steps from the waterfall.
Day 6: Ba Be Lake (180km / 110Miles)
After breakfast by the waterfall, we ride to Nguom Ngao Cave and explore its impressive stalactites and stalagmites. The road then leads us to the peaceful Ba Be Lake, where we take a boat trip through hidden corners surrounded by lush mountains. In the evening, we enjoy a traditional dance by the local ethnic people before settling into a lakeside homestay for the night.
Day 7: Scenic ride back to Hanoi (220km /137Miles)
We start the morning with a farewell to Ba Be Lake and ride back toward Hanoi. The winding roads and mountain scenery remind us of the adventures we’ve just lived. As the city comes closer, the calm of the countryside gives way to Hanoi’s energy.
