FAQ: Vietnam Motorcycle Tours
What about driving license?
You should have a valid international driving permit (IDP) or a valid license with motorcycle amendments that covers riding in Vietnam.
On most of our rides, you won’t see traffic police because we travel on backroads and through smaller towns. If you are stopped, they may ask to see your driving license. Whether you have to pay a fine depends on the situation, but in most cases, you’ll pay the fine and continue your ride.
What to pack? and what about my bags during the ride?
Your own gear will fit and feel best, so we recommend bringing what you’re comfortable with. Additionally, we advise you on what to bring based on your route, season, and tour duration. Most motorcycle tours start from our office, or for more comfortable way, start from your hotel in Hanoi, we offer with helmets, gloves, and jackets.
Suggested packing list:
- Motorcycle gear: riding jacket, helmet, gloves, boots, balaclava, sunglasses/goggles, light jacket, extra jeans, bandanas.
- Personal items: toiletries, sunscreen, emergency cash, earplugs.
- Emergency items: first aid kit, flashlight, chargers, list of medications/conditions.
- Miscellaneous: small towel, bungee cords, camera, zip-lock bags.
If you leave your extra items, bags at Hanoi and end your trip elsewhere, we help to ship your items to you, at extra cost.
Can I book if I am alone?
Yes, of course. Our motorcycle trips are private, and you are welcome to book any tour for any duration to ride on your own. You may even meet new friends along the way. Alternatively, if you prefer a one-on-one tour, we can arrange that for you as well.

All our tours are private and tailored to your request, so you decide who rides with you. Whether it’s a solo adventure, a trip with friends, or a larger private group, we’ll arrange everything to match your needs.
We’ve taken groups as small as one rider and as large as 15, and every tour is planned so everyone gets the attention and support they need. You choose the route, dates, and pace—we handle the rest.

Experience Vietnam by motorcycle on a road trip
Thinking about taking on a ride across Vietnam? I know the feeling. Years ago, I was in your shoes—scrolling through photos, wondering if I had what it takes to do it.
I’ve ridden the Ha Giang Loop in the mist, crossed the Ho Chi Minh Trail under a burning sun, and rolled into coastal towns where the sea breeze hits you like freedom itself.
If you’re ready to feel the road and see the real Vietnam, let’s make it happen.
All the best, Hamid.
